Who are we ?
Founded in 2019, Someware is a consulting firm, a developer of digital solutions in the field of active mobility, and a service and consulting company specializing in GIS and geographic information. Our mission is to provide effective digital tools and methods to support city stakeholders.
To achieve this, we combine business expertise, particulary in active mobility, with 20 years’ experience in designing mapping solutions (web, mobile, GIS) for local authorities, public institutions, transport operators, stakeholders in urban planning, mobility, tourism, real estate, large corporation, research labs and numerous start-ups…
Today, we are the only company in the world specializing in the conception of digital tools dedicated to all pedestrians : taking into account walkability, comfort, and safety, as well as age, gender, childhood, disability, thermal comfort…
These tools meet two needs:
- Improving passenger information, through the pedestrian and PRM route planner Handimap
- Improving knowledge of pedestrian-related issues, with support services, assessments and decision-making tools for local authorities and transport operators…
Since its creation, Someware has been a key player in the field of accessibility assessment and accessible route planners. Since 2023, it has also been recognized for its innovative work in large-scale walkability diagnosis.

Our mission is to help make tomorrow’s city more inclusive, greener and decarbonized.
To build such a city, all urban stakeholders, resident included, need clear information and analisis to help them rethink mobility, urban planning, housing and the localisation of businesses, shops and services.
Our job is to provide this information through tools and support tailored to each specific needs. Based on this approach, we have become one of the leading players in the analysis of urban accessibility and walkability.
This enables local authorities and transport operators to better integrate pedestrians issues into their planning and development, while providing users with more accurate, needs-based information.
